Through the Lens I - Night Photography
George Herbert, a well-know professional photographer, will lead students on an enjoyable evening of photographing the night sky, during a new moon. You will learn the techniques of capturing stunning images of our home galaxy – the Milky Way. You also will learn where to go and what time is best to photograph. Hand outs will be available on how to process your images when you return home. George Herbert has been a professional photographer for four decades, touring the Northwest to shoot landscape images for publication in magazines. He was featured in the first volume of The Blues, a photobook published by the Blue Mountain Land Trust. He has also been employed by professional sports teams and leagues across Washington and Oregon. He’s a past president of the Blue Mountain Photo Club and has won its Photographer of the Year award multiple times.
