St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine Street, Walla Walla, will host the First Thursday concert from 12:15 -12:55 p.m. May 2. Performing will be Walla Walla University students: Talea Shupe (Flute) Music Education Major, Sydney Peck (Oboe), Mechanical Engineering Major, Roylan Messinger (French Horn) , Music Education Major, Nicole Griggs (Bassoon), Math Major and Ron Coleman (Clarinet), a Retired Pilot who teaches Clarinet at WWU. All members of the quintet also perform with the WWU WindSymphony as well as the Symphony Orchestra and will be going to Carnegie Hall at the end of June to perform with the WWU Symphony Orchestra in the Viennese Masters Invitational Concert. We’re excited tobe performing works selected out of our repertoire which includes works by: Gustav Holst Anton Reicha Vincent Persechetti Maurice Ravel Submitted by Marcia K.
