Are you a self-starter who has experience with, or an interest in, community outreach and coordination? Are you passionate about living in and making an impact on your community and region? Community Council has a full-time position available for an Advocacy Coordinator. This position will support community action groups and help coordinate advocacy efforts to implement the recommendations of various community studies. This includes developing and implementing advocacy strategies, developing and supporting outreach, convening and attending meetings, writing and disseminating meeting agendas and summaries, drafting reports and supporting volunteer activity. The position requires excellent communication skills; Spanish language proficiency and cultural knowledge are preferred. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently, prioritize and juggle a wide variety of responsibilities and work harmoniously within a small team. Ability to work occasional flexible hours and travel throughout the local region is necessary. Relevant and recent experience using websites and social media accounts is preferred. Office is located in Walla Walla, WA.
