Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman
Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman tells the inspiring story of heartland heroes who are feeding the world while stewarding the land and water. The film is a tribute to people like fourth-generation Montana rancher Dusty Crary and friends, whose commitment to conservation drove them to forge alliances between long-time antagonists -- including cattlemen, federal agencies, hunters and environmental groups -- to protect private ranches and federal wilderness along the Rocky Mountain Front for future generations. By taking action, these courageous individuals have made enduring contributions that help preserve the landscapes that define the American character.
Based on a book by best-selling author Miriam Horn of Environmental Defense Fund, Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman was directed by Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Susan Froemke and Emmy winner John Hoffman, and narrated by award-winning journalist Tom Brokaw.
The film premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and debuted on the Discovery Channel in August 2017
