Public Workshop Series: Reducing Toxins in Your Daily Routine
Do you ever wonder whether your home environment and personal care routines are safe for you and your family? Many common household items, cleaning products, and personal care products contain toxins that pose long-term health hazards whether ingested, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin. At this informative workshop, you will learn to recognize hazards in many home and personal care products. Although advertisements stress sanitization, there are many non-toxic solutions that will clean your home without introducing harmful chemicals. Additionally, personal care products are applied directly to our skin, making us especially vulnerable to the toxins they contain. We will explore creative solutions for detoxifying your home and personal care routine along with how to create simple, safe alternatives. If you are a new parent or live with young children, this workshop will be especially beneficial to you as you create a safer home for vulnerable little ones.
