Live Theater: Arsenic and Old Lace
Walla Walla Community College presents a farcical dark comedy by American playwright Joseph Kesselring. Mortimer Brewster must deal with his family of “insane homicidal maniacs” including a murderous brother who has changed his appearance to resemble Boris Karloff, a second brother who channels Teddy Roosevelt as he digs locks for the Panama Canal in the cellar, and two spinster aunts who are keen to put lonely old men out of their misery with arsenic-laced elderberry wine. Mortimer must fend off the Brooklyn Police while debating his promise to marry the woman he loves. Join us for a hilarious performance of laughs and lunacy. General admission is $10, students are $5 and WWCC students are free with a valid ID.
