Leathercraft, some people say, is a dying art form. For leatherwork artisan Jeremiah Colladay, this ancient art is very much alive, and he creates functional artistry in the form of handcrafted wallets, notebook covers, guitar and camera straps, key chains and even earrings. Colladay, who underwent a three-year apprenticeship with a Western saddle maker before launching his own business, Colladay Leather, fuses Western design with Pacific Northwest flair. He is displaying an array of his wares at Wenaha Gallery through March 23.
