The magic and history of China is at your fingertips! Join the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce for an adventure to China April 17-26, 2017. We've partnered with Chinese tour company Citslinc International for this once in a lifetime, all-inclusive trip. Our 10 day adventure includes luxury bus transportation from Walla Walla to Seattle, round-trip international airfare & Chinese domestic airfare and tax, 4-and 5-star hotel accommodations, 3 meals each day, deluxe bus tour, entrance fees for all tour attractions and private tour guides.
All of this for $2,295 for Chamber Members and $2,395 for Non-Members! A $300 non-returnable deposit is required to hold your reservation until departure.
Our 10 Day Itinerary Includes:
Day 1 Seattle/Beijing
Check in at Seattle International Airport for an afternoon flight to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.
Day 2 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China by midnight. You will be met at the airport by your private tour guide and transferred to your 5-star hotel.
Day 3-4 Beijing
Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world, the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms, and the Summer Palace, featuring the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen Arch Bridge and the Marble Boat. Tour the Lama Temple and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heavens for a good harvest.
Day 5 Beijing
Your China Adventure continues in Beijing! Take a private luxury bus excursion with your private tour guide to the historical Great Wall of China, the 4,000 mile long and 2,000 year old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by the naked eye from the moon! This attraction alone is worth the trip! Also, visit the Ming Tombs. One of the 13 Ming Emperors’ Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration.
Day 6 Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou
Fly to Shanghai, followed by a bus trip to Suzhou for the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Hanshan Temple and the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, a local craft with thousands of years of history. Dinner this evening will include a show featuring traditional Chinese music.
Day 7 Suzhou/Hangzhou
Take a morning tour bus excursion to Hangzhou for a visit to the Economic Development Zone and the centuries-old Lingyin Temple, featuring a 64.3 foot high camphor-wood carving of Buddha.
Day 8 Hangzhou/Shanghai
Begin your day with a morning boat cruise on West Lake in Hangzhou with relaxing stopovers at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses. West Lake has influenced poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty and historic relics, and it has also been among the most important sources of inspiration for Chinese garden designers. Later, we’ll take an afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai.
Day 9 Shanghai
Visit to the Yu Garden. Yu Garden is believed to have been built in the Ming Dynasty, more than 400 years ago. The garden is unique in its design. It perfectly blends decorative halls, elaborate pavilions, glittering pools, zigzag bridges, pagodas, archways, and impressive rockeries. The Yu Yuan Bazaar is right next to Yu Garden. It has a great number of small streets and lanes where you can find many restaurants, tea houses, and shops. It is a good place to sample some local snacks and buy some souvenirs. Also, visit The Bund, Shanghais famous waterfront park and tour the Pudong Economic Development Zone.
Day 10 Shanghai/Beijing/Seattle
Morning is yours to roam as you wish. The afternoon flight will depart by 1:30 pm for SEA where you will arrive at 10:30am on the say day. Your private luxury bus will be waiting to whisk you back to Walla Walla.
